WELCOME TO OUR MALDIVES FOILING EXPEDITION

SURF FOIL • WING FOIL • TOW-IN FOIL

A 10-Day Multi-Sport Foiling Adventure

Welcome to one of the most unique foiling experiences in the Indian Ocean.
Our Mauka Surfaris Maldives Foiling Expedition is a small-group adventure designed for riders who want to explore
the full spectrum of modern foiling disciplines — surf & sup foiling, wing foiling & parawing, and tow-in foiling
in one of the most wave-rich tropical destinations on the planet.

This is not a typical surf trip. This is a high-end foiling expedition where conditions determine the daily game plan.
Depending on wind, swell and tides, each day may include wing sessions, downwind runs, tow-in foiling, or surf foiling on pristine reef breaks.

You bring your equipment. We bring the local knowledge, safety support, coaching, and logistics to make every session count.
Expect warm water, crystal-clear lagoons, playful reefs, and the kind of environment that makes progression both exciting and safe.

DESIGNED FOR FOILERS

This expedition was created specifically for riders who already foil and want a versatile
playground with professional support.

You can expect:

  • Daily sessions adapted to wind, swell and tides
  • Surf foiling on long reef mellow waves
  • Wing foiling in steady tropical trade winds
  • Tow-in sessions for maximizing wave count
  • Safety support via jet ski and tender boat
  • A dedicated foiling coach helping with technique and progression
  • Small groups for better access and personalized guidance

The Maldives offers a rare combination of predictable reef waves, warm water, and
open ocean wind corridors, making it an ideal environment for multi-discipline foiling.

THE FOILING PLAYGROUND

Why the Maldives? Few places in the world offer such a consistent combination of:

  • Clean reef waves
  • Long peeling shoulders perfect for surf foiling
  • Wind windows ideal for wing foiling
  • Endless islands and lagoons for exploration

Many breaks here produce long, flowing walls, allowing foilers to link sections and glide across the reef for extended rides.
Because we operate with mobile support (jet ski + tender boat) we can move between different setups each day depending on conditions. Our goal is simple:

Find the best foiling conditions available each day.

DAILY FOILING STRUCTURE

Each day will be planned based on real-time conditions. A typical day may look like:

Morning (Low Wind)
Tow-in foiling or surf foiling sessions on clean reef waves.

Midday
Boat exploration, snorkeling, island visits, or rest.

Afternoon (Wind Picking Up)
Wing foiling sessions or downwind runs between islands.

With jet ski support and a tender boat, we can maximize water time while maintaining
high safety standards.

SAFETY & SUPPORT

Foiling in remote environments requires proper support.
Your expedition includes:

  • Experienced jet ski driver
  • Safety support from a dedicated tender boat
  • Local guides familiar with reefs and currents
  • Daily spot selection based on conditions
  • Dedicated foiling coach throughout the trip

This allows riders to push their limits while knowing they have professional backup in the
water.

YOUR HOME IN THE MALDIVES

Aboard the Liveaboard Yacht Princess Haseena

Our Maldives Foiling Expedition takes place aboard the comfortable liveaboard yacht Princess Haseena, allowing us to stay mobile and position ourselves close to the best foiling conditions each day.

Instead of being limited to a single island or reef, traveling aboard a liveaboard means we can follow the swell, wind, and tides, maximizing water time and exploring different atolls throughout the expedition. The boat becomes both our basecamp and our home in the ocean.

The Boat

The Princess Haseena is a spacious and well-equipped liveaboard designed for
comfortable multi-day ocean adventures. Key features include:

  • 10 guest cabins with air conditioning and private bathrooms
  • 3 spacious decks for relaxing between sessions
  • Large rooftop sundeck with panoramic ocean views
  • Comfortable indoor lounge and dining area
  •  Outdoor shaded areas perfect for relaxing after long sessions
  • Dedicated space for equipment storage
  • Professional local crew taking care of navigation, meals and logistics

With a limited number of guests onboard, the atmosphere stays relaxed, social, and expedition-
style.

Rooftop Evenings & Ocean Life

After long days chasing waves and wind, the rooftop deck becomes the perfect place to unwind.
Expect evenings like this:

  • Sunset drinks overlooking the Indian Ocean
  •  Storytelling about the day’s best rides
  • Fresh dinners prepared by the onboard chef
  • Stargazing far from city lights
  • Planning the next day’s mission depending on forecast conditions

It’s a unique part of the experience that transforms the trip from a simple surf mission into a true ocean expedition.

FAQ's

Do I need to know all foiling disciplines?

No. Most guests specialize in one discipline (wing, SUP or surf foil).
This expedition simply gives you the opportunity to explore different options depending
on conditions.

Can I bring a non-foiling partner?

Absolutely.
Many guests bring partners who enjoy the Maldives for snorkeling, island exploration,
diving, and relaxing between sessions.

Is the Maldives good for wing foiling?

Yes — the Maldives is one of the best destinations in the world for wing foiling. With warm water, consistent wind, and vast open lagoons, it offers ideal conditions for both progression and long, flowing sessions.

When is the best time for a Maldives wing foiling trip?

May → June (Early Wind Season / Soft Start)

Best for: Intermediate riders, progression, long sessions

  • Consistent but moderate wind (12–18 knots)
  • Flat to slightly choppy lagoons — very manageable conditions
  • Warm water, stable weather patterns
  • Fewer boats and uncrowded riding zones
  • Ideal for dialing technique, transitions, and control

Why riders like it:
Long, comfortable sessions with less pressure — perfect to refine fundamentals and build confidence.

July → September (Peak Wind Season)

Best for: Intermediate to advanced riders

  • Strong, consistent wind (15–25+ knots)
  • Endless riding opportunities across multiple lagoons
  • More dynamic conditions: chop, bumps, small swell
  • Reliable daily sessions with high time-on-water
  • Still uncrowded compared to most global destinations

Why this is the sweet spot:
Maximum water time, consistent wind, and the ability to push progression day after day.

Upon arrival in Malé, you will be personally welcomed and transferred to the liveaboard. The entire process is smooth and coordinated, so you don’t need to worry about logistics.

Non-surfers will have plenty to enjoy throughout the expedition. Activities include snorkeling in crystal-clear reefs, island hopping, hand-line fishing, cuisine lessons with the crew, sunbathing, swimming, and simply relaxing in a remote tropical setting. Many guests join for the adventure, connection, and unique experience—not just the surfing.
